Weekly reflection (8/1/2018-12/1/2018)
      ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ school induction ൻറെ ഭാഗമായി ഒന്നാം വർഷ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളും സ്കൂളിൽ എത്തിയിരുന്നു. Teaching practice nte അവസാന ആഴ്ച്ചയായതിനാൽ തന്നെ ഒരു വിധം പാഠഭാഗങ്ങളെല്ലാം തീർന്നിരുന്നു. ഒൻപതാം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ Achievement test ഇട്ടു. Project ൻറെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾക്കായി data collect ചെയ്യുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ചില ക്ലാസ്സുകളിലും ഒപ്പം mount tabor girls high സ്കൂളിൽ ലും പോവാൻ സാധിച്ചു. അവസാന ദിവസം കുട്ടികൾക്കും അധ്യാപകർക്കും മധുരം നൽകിയാണ് മടങ്ങിയത്.
About my classes
      ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ 30 lesson plans എന്ന ഞങ്ങളുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം പൂർത്തിയാക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു. ഏഴാം ക്ലാസ്സിലെ ഒരു പാഠം മുഴുവൻ തീർക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചെങ്കിലും ഒൻപതാം ക്ലാസ്സിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ അത് നടന്നില്ല... എങ്കിൽ കൂടിയും പാഠഭാഗങ്ങളൊക്കെ നല്ല രീതിയിൽ കുട്ടികളിൽ എത്തിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചിരുന്നു.

  ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ 9E ൽ പുതിയൊരു പാഠം ആരംഭിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു. എല്ലാ ദിവസങ്ങളിലും രണ്ടു ക്ളാസുകളിലുമായി പീരിയഡ് കിട്ടിയിരുന്നു അതിനാൽ തന്നെ ഒരുപാട് പാഠഭാഗങ്ങൾ പഠിപ്പിച്ചു തീർക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു.

    ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ ഒൻപതാം ക്ലാസിൽ പുതിയൊരു പാഠം ആരംഭിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു. ഏഴാം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ നിത്യജീവിതവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെടുത്തിയുള്ള പാഠഭാഗം ആയതിനാൽ കുട്ടികളെല്ലാവരും വളരെ താല്പര്യത്തോടെയായിരുന്നു ക്ലാസ്സിൽ ഇരുന്നത്. Concept attainment model, Role play model, ICT model എന്നിവ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ക്ലാസുകൾ എടുക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു. 
      ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ ശനിയാഴ്ച്ചയും ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Weekly reflection ( 11/12/2017- 12/12/2017)

ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ രണ്ടു ദിവസം മാത്രമേ ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളു. സ്കൂളിൽ christmas exam ൻറെ തിരക്ക് ആയതിനാൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക്‌ ക്ലാസ്സ്‌ എടുക്കേണ്ടി വന്നിരുന്നില്ല.  എന്നാൽ ചില ക്ലാസ്സുകളിൽ substitution കിട്ടിയിരുന്നു.

    തിങ്കളാഴ്ച അഭിവന്ദ്യ തിരുമേനിമാരുടെ ഓർമ്മപ്പെരുന്നാൾ ആയിരുന്നതിനാൽ മൗണ്ട് താബോർ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾക്ക് അവധിയായിരുന്നു. ചൊവാഴ്ച 9E ൽ Diagnostic test നടത്താൻ സാധിച്ചു. ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ സ്കൂളിൽ വെച്ച് മാർതോമ്മ ദിദിമോസ് ട്രോഫി അഖില കേരള ഇന്റർ സ്കൂൾ ബാസ്കറ്റ് ബോൾ ടൂർണമെന്റിന്റെ ഉദഘാടനവും തുടർന്നുള്ള ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ മത്സരങ്ങളും നടന്നു.
            ബുധനാഴ്ച 8E ക്ലാസിൽ Adolescence issues in boys എന്ന വിഷയത്തിൽ conscientisation programme നടത്താൻ സാധിച്ചു. കുട്ടികളിൽ ഈ വിഷയത്തെ കുറിച്ച് ഒരുപാട് കാര്യങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു കൊടുക്കാൻ ഇതിലൂടെ സാധിച്ചു. ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ അഞ്ചു  പേരുടെ ക്ലാസ് Peer evaluation ന്റെ ഭാഗമായി കാണാൻ സാധിച്ചു.

      ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ 9 ലും 7 ലും ആയി ഒരുപാട് ക്ലാസ്സുകൾ കിട്ടിയിരുന്നു.... 7 ൽ പുതിയൊരു പാഠം തുടങ്ങാനും 9ൽ ഒരു പാഠം തീർക്കാനും സാധിച്ചു.  Innovative lesson plan ന്റെ ഭാഗമായി cartoon തയാറാക്കി അതിലൂടെ കുട്ടികളെ പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു.

            INNOVATIVE LESSON PLAN
 I took my 16th lesson plan as my innovative lesson plan. In this I discussed the topic Liver and skin of chapter To maintain homeostasis of 9th standard. Here I prepared one of activity in innovative way. that is I made a cartoon representation to explain the problems of liver faced nowadays. I prepared dialogues between liver and other body parts about this issue. Then I introduced it infront of students and direct them to act this at class room. Through this way I introduced a topic as an innovative activity

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

1) To conscientise boys of secondary level about adolescent issues and its management.

2) To know about mental status of adolescent boys and ensure their positive attitude towards this stage of development

ABOUT PROGRAMME

                                           As part of the B.Ed curriculum we conducted our conscientisation programme  at St.Stephen's High school. We discussed many points about this topic and all students were very attentive in the class. After the class we distributed brochure among students about our topic.. Then some of students shared their experience with us.

          സ്കൂളിൽ ഈ ആഴ്ച മുഴുവൻ ഉപജില്ലാ കലോത്സവത്തിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായുള്ള പരിശീലനം നടക്കുന്നതിനാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അധ്യാപക വിദ്യാർഥികൾക്ക് ഇരിക്കാനുള്ള സ്ഥല പരിമിതി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഈ ആഴ്ച കോളേജിൽ നിന്നും ആശ ടീച്ചർ observation നു വേണ്ടി 9E യിൽ വന്നിരുന്നു. ക്ലാസിനു ശേഷം കോളേജിൽ വെച്ച് ടീച്ചർ എന്റെ ക്ലാസിനെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള അഭിപ്രായങ്ങളും class improve ചെയ്യാനുള്ള നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങളും നൽകി. Kidney Diseases നെ കുറിച്ച് ആയിരുന്നു അന്നേ ദിവസം ക്ലാസ് എടുത്തത്. ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ peer evaluation ൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായി Dn. Bidheesh സാറിന്റെയും Jithin സാറിന്റെയും ക്ലാസ് observe ചെയ്തു.  Tuesday സ്കൂളിൽ NCC യുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ സെമിനാർ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു.
Thursday  മാർ തോമാ ദിവന്നാസിയോസ് സ്മാരക പ്രഭാഷണം നടന്നതിനാൽ ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം ക്ലാസ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. എന്നാല് എല്ലാ അധ്യാപകരോടൊപ്പം ഞങ്ങളും പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കണമെന്ന നിർദേശം ലഭിച്ചതിനാൽ വൈകുന്നേരം വരെ പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു. Friday നബിദിനം ആയതിനാൽ സ്ക്കൂളിനു അവധി ആയിരുന്നു.
About my classes
           9E ൽ urine formation പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ നല്ല രീതിയിൽ തന്നെ തയ്യാറെടുപ്പ് നടത്തേണ്ടി വന്നു. അതേ ക്ലാസിൽ തന്നെ Kidney Diseases പഠിപ്പിച്ച ദിവസം ക്ലാസ് observe ചെയ്യാൻ ആശ ടീച്ചർ വന്നിരുന്നു. എന്റെ ക്ലാസിൻ്റ നല്ല വശങ്ങളും പോരായ്മകളും ടീച്ചർ പറഞ്ഞു തന്നു. ഈ ആഴ്ച കൊണ്ട് 7D ലെ ഒരു പാഠ ഭാഗം തീർക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു. അധ്യാപികയുടെ നിർദ്ദേശ പ്രകാരം ക്ലാസ് പരീക്ഷ നടത്തി.

          കോളേജിൽ നിന്നും observation നു വേണ്ടി അധ്യാപകർ വരും എന്ന ചെറിയൊരു സംശയം ഉണ്ടായത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ അത്യാവശ്യം ആശങ്കയോടെയായിരുന്നു ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ സ്ക്കൂളിൽ പോയി തുടങ്ങിയത്. 9 E ലും 7.D  ലും ആയി ഏകദേശം എല്ലാ ദിവസങ്ങളിലും തന്നെ ക്ലാസുകൾ ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച കോളേജിൽ വെച്ച് ഗായക സംഘ മത്സരം നടന്നതിനാൽ കോളേജിന്റെ അനുവാദത്തോടു കൂടി ഞങ്ങൾ സ്കൂളിൽ നിന്നും ലീവ് എടുക്കുകയും പരിപാടിയിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച രാവിലെ സ്കൂളിൽ അസംബ്ലി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച മൂന്ന് പേരുടെ Peer evaluation നടത്താൻ സാധിച്ചു.
About my Classes
        9th ക്ലാസിൽ Longitudinal structure of kidney and structure of Nephron എന്ന പാഠഭാഗം മനസിലാക്കാൻ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് വളരെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ട് തോന്നിയിരുന്നു. അതിനാൽ തന്നെ ആണ് പാഠ ഭാഗം മനസിലാക്കി കൊടുക്കാൻ കൂടുതൽ സമയം ചെലവഴിക്കേണ്ടി വന്നു. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച രാവിലെ സ്കൂളിൽ അസംബ്ലി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
7th D യിൽ Blood cells പഠിപ്പിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി ഒരു ചാർട്ട് തയ്യാറാക്കിയിരുന്നു. അന്നേ ദിവസം സമയം ബന്ധിതമായി ക്ലാസ് എടുക്കാൻ സാധിക്കാഞ്ഞതിനാൽ ക്ലാസിൽ Activity നൽകാനും കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല. Blood vessels നെ കുറിച്ച് ക്ലാസ് എടുക്കുന്നതിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായി അവയുടെ Models തയ്യാറാക്കിയതിനാൽ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് എളുപ്പത്തിൽ കാര്യങ്ങൾ മനസിലാക്കി കൊടുക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു.

വ്യാഴാഴ്ച രാവിലെ സ്കൂളിൽ അസംബ്ലി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അസംബ്ലിയിൽ ഹെഡ്മാസ്റ്റർ അലക്സ് സാറും PTA president ശ്രീ. വേണുഗോപാലും സംസാരിച്ചു. തുടർന്ന് എല്ലാ കുട്ടികൾക്കും സൗജന്യ കശുമാവിൻ തൈ വിതരണവും സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു.

                               INNOVATIVE WORK

                    Innovation is the process of making changes to something established by introducing something better and as consequence new.

                 Innovative strategies for teaching Biology focuses on innovative ways in which education can enrich the science content being taught in students.  Innovative work or teaching aid is used as a teaching learning material for effective and meaningful transaction of a pedagogic content or a concept.

Innovative work should be always novel and creative enough to convey a concept in a new way. There by it helps the teacher trainee to make the teaching- learning process in an effective manner.

ABOUT MY WORK

My innovative work is entitled as Jigsaw puzzle related to the chapter "Breath and Blood of life" of standard VII.  Here I try to make Jigsaw puzzle related to the topic "Process of inspiration and Expiration. I construct Jigsaw blocks using cardboard. Then I divided my subject portion in to different Jigsaw blocks. Each block contain parts of cyclic representation of  of process of inspiration and expiration. The work was very informative as well as entertainment to students.

                               

    TEACHING PRACTICE - SECOND PHASE

WEEKLY REPORT

       Teaching practice is an important factor in the B.Ed curriculum.It act as stepping stone for a student teacher to become an effective teacher in future. It is an opportunity to all student teachers for developing physical, mental, spiritual and moral values among the students. I chose St.Stephen's  High school for the second phase teaching practice. our group includes 17 student teachers from natural science and physical science option from mount tabor training college.

PREPARATORY ACTIVITIES
We went to school on 7/11/2017 and met our concerned teachers. our portions and timetable were gien by the teachers.i was directed to teach the students in the class of VII D and IX E.My concerned teachers were Mrs Sini and Sr. Shiny

WEEKLY REFLECTION (13/11/2017-17/11/2017)
Our teaching practice started in this week. the teachers were given permission to start the classes from first day on wards.
          In the first period of the first day Athira teacher and I got a chance of invigilating IT practical exam of 8-D. There was a national achievement survey exam for those students who were selected from each classes. I completed & lesson plans of both 7th and 9th classes in this week. One of the lesson plan was based on ICT. I got an opportunity to take the students of Class 7th D to projector room to show some videos and power point presentation on the topic"diversity in respiration". I made two models for both 9th and 7th standard.  One was of kidney and the other was the model of lungs. the model of kidney was made using easily available materials at home and model of lung was made using plastic bottle, balloon,straw etc. There was no afternoon class on 17/11/2017 since a student of this school passed away.  I  completed my classes of this week with complete satisfaction since the students were really cooperative.
                                                                                                                                                                           

                                  

GENERAL ACTIVITIES OF SCHOOL

1.        National achievement survey exam on 13/11/2017 conducted by Education department of Govt of Kerala. The exam was  conducted under the supervision of external teachers appointed by department of education.
2.        Children's day was celebrated on 14/11/2017 . There was general assembly in the morning and the headmaster Alex sir and Sam sir gave message. Prizes were distributed to those students who won prizes in science fair during the assembly.

          ഈ ആഴ്‌ച്ചയിൽ 9 ലെ ഒരു പാഠം പഠിപ്പിച്ചു തീർക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചു. 9 ൽ peer evaluation ന് വേണ്ടി Anju വും Gishby യും
എന്റെ ക്ലാസ് കാണാൻ വന്നു. Independence day ക്ക് സ്കൂളിൽ പോവേണ്ടി വന്നില്ല. ഈ ആഴ്ച്ചയിൽ തന്നെ 7 ലും പാഠം തീർത്തു. വ്യാഴാഴ്ച 9 ൽ Achievement test നടത്തി. രണ്ടു ക്ലാസുകളിലും പഠിപ്പിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞതിനാൽ അവസാന ദിവസം അവരോട് സൗഹൃദ സംഭാഷണം നടത്തി. ഈ ആഴ്ചയിൽ ശനിയാഴ്ച്ചയും ക്ലാസ്സ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതിനാൽ എന്റെ രണ്ടു ക്ലാസിലും കയറി യാത്ര ചോദിച്ചു.
            ചുരുക്കത്തിൽ സ്കൂളുമായും ക്ലാസുമായും കുട്ടികളുമായും ഒരുപാട് അടുത്തിരുന്നു എന്ന് മനസിലാക്കിയ ദിവസങ്ങളായിരുന്നു ഈ ആഴ്ച്ചയിൽ.

            തിങ്കളാഴ്ച്ച Mount Tabor Day ആയതിനാൽ സ്കൂളിൽ ക്ലാസ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല. ചൊവാഴ്ച്ച 9.E ക്ലാസിൽ Asha teacher Observation ന് വേണ്ടി വന്നു. അന്ന് അത്യാവശ്യം നല്ല രീതിയിൽ ക്ലാസ് എടുക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചിരുന്നു. 7.D യിൽ കഴിഞ്ഞ പാഠ ഭാഗം ഒരിക്കൽ revision നടത്തി. 7th ക്ലാസ്സിൽ ഈ ആഴ്‌ച്ച പുതിയ പാഠ ഭാഗം പഠിപ്പിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി. ഓണ പരീക്ഷ അടുക്കാൻ ആയതിനാൽ 9th ൽ രാവിലെ 9 മണിക്ക് special class വെക്കാനുള്ള അനുമതി concern teacher തന്നിരുന്നു. ഈ ആഴ്ചയുടെ അവസാന ദിവസം സ്കൂളിൽ PTA exicutive meeting നടന്നതിനാൽ ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം ക്ലാസ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
